PT Tristar Transindo (TST) has reaffirmed its commitment to workplace safety through a series of intensive training sessions for all drivers across its various operational divisions. This initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of safe and responsible work practices in the land transportation sector.

The training program focuses on three main pillars: Safety Induction, Safety Campaign, and Defensive Driving Training, which are designed to ensure that every driver understands and adheres to safe driving standards in accordance with company procedures.

This step also demonstrates TST’s commitment to maintaining operational safety amid increasing national distribution and logistics activities. Parsaulian Ringo Ringo, Head of HSE at PT Tristar Transindo, emphasized that driver safety is a crucial foundation for ensuring the company’s smooth operations.

“Safety is not merely an obligation, but part of professionalism. Every driver needs to be aware that safe behavior on the road is a form of responsibility toward themselves and the company,” he said.

According to him, a safety culture is not established overnight, but rather grows from consistency and disciplined daily habits. The Safety Induction Program serves as the first step for every driver to understand workplace safety procedures, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and how to identify potential hazards in the work environment.

Through the Safety Campaign, TST encourages all drivers to actively participate in creating a zero-accident work environment. Safety education is delivered through various activities that emphasize the importance of adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and practicing safe behavior on the road.

Meanwhile, Defensive Driving Training provides technical instruction to help drivers anticipate risks on the highway. The curriculum covers techniques for avoiding collisions, maintaining a safe following distance, fatigue management, and emotional control when facing heavy traffic conditions.

To strengthen the implementation of safety standards, TST has also established the 10 Safe Action Driver guidelines as mandatory for all drivers, including:
01. Pre-trip vehicle inspection.
02. Wearing a seatbelt at all times.
03. Obeying speed limits and traffic signs.
04. Strict prohibition on using cell phones while driving.
05. Getting adequate rest to prevent fatigue.
06. Being free of alcohol and drugs.
07. Ensuring cargo is secured to prevent it from falling or causing an overload.
08. Using official and safe routes as directed by the company.
09. Reporting any incidents or hazardous conditions.
10. Maintain a professional and responsible attitude on every trip.

As part of the Wahana Artha Group, PT Tristar Transindo plays a strategic role in supporting the national transportation and logistics system.

Through the implementation of strict SOPs and a focus on workplace safety, TST continues to strengthen its reputation as a land transportation company with integrity and a commitment to sustainability.
