The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), the Indonesian National Police’s Traffic Corps (Korlantas), and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) have officially issued a Joint Decree (SKB) to regulate traffic during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year’s travel period (Nataru).

Director General of Land Transportation Aan Suhanan stated that these measures include the implementation of a contraflow system on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road (KM 47–KM 70) and the Jagorawi Toll Road (KM 21–KM 8) during peak outbound and return travel dates. A one-way system will be implemented on a situational basis at the discretion of the police.

In addition, all construction projects on toll roads must be temporarily suspended from December 16, 2025, through January 4, 2026. For ferry crossings, the Ministry of Transportation has prepared a special plan at four major ports: Merak, Bakauheni, Ketapang, and Gilimanuk. Heavy vehicles in Class II and above will be rerouted to supporting ports such as Ciwandan and BBJ Bojonegara to alleviate queues at Merak.

The public is urged to plan their trips carefully, book ferry tickets online via the Ferizy app, and comply with the ticket-purchase restriction zones around the ports to prevent traffic congestion. In addition to preparing yourself and your vehicle, please also follow all traffic rules. This appeal is issued in the hope that everyone traveling long distances will arrive safely at their destination.
